Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Innovation and Growth Tomislav Donchev opened the Bulgarian pavilion at the World Expo, which is expected to attract 28 million visitors

After 55 years Bulgaria is triumphantly returning to Osaka. The Bulgarian pavilion at the World Expo is a subject of enormous interest. It is the interest from Japanese entrepreneurs related to investments that shows that we are on the right track. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Innovation and Growth Tomislav Donchev, who opened the national pavilion at EXPO 2025 in Osaka, Japan.

“We are elegantly and tastefully presenting the new image of Bulgaria. In addition to unique products such as rose oil and yogurt, we must also show the capabilities of the Bulgarian industry, which go far beyond these two products,” said Donchev.

He emphasized the well-done work of the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Innovation and Growth on the entire organization of Bulgaria’s participation in the world exhibition, of the teams and of architect Hiroto Kobayashi.

The Bulgarian pavilion is located in the most prestigious area and in a key location – next to one of the main entrances, between those of the Netherlands and Singapore. Ecological materials were used for its construction. After the exhibition, every part of the pavilion will be recycled or reused. The motto of EXPO 2025 is “Designing a Future Society for Our Lives”, where our country will make its contribution to global challenges. Every visitor will be able to immerse themselves in an incredible atmosphere, where Bulgaria presents its history, culture, scientific achievements and reveals the vision for the future and its potential.
