Minister of Innovation and Digital Transformation Ivan Vasilev met with Oscar Pierre, CEO and co-founder of Glovo.
Vasilev thanked the company for investing and expanding in Bulgaria. He said the Ministry of Innovation and Digital Transformation is working to reduce administrative burdens and improve the business environment.
Vasilev also said the goal is to shift the economy toward high-value-added industries and products. He identified digitization as key to providing faster, more transparent and more convenient services to citizens and businesses.
Company representatives said Glovo is turning innovation into shared benefits for the local economy, digitizing processes and supporting Bulgarian partners. Management is working to make the company a preferred workplace for young professionals. They said investment in human capital is key to the country’s sustainable development.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Innovation and Digital Transformation Minister Mira Yosifova and Glovo Bulgaria General Manager Tijana Bikic.
