Minister of Innovation and Digital Transformation Ivan Vasilev met with the leadership of the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Vasilev and his deputy ministers, Mira Yosifova and Atanas Maznev, presented the ministry’s priorities. The focus was on accelerating economic growth through innovation and high-value-added products and services.
Opportunities for partnership and joint initiatives between the Ministry of Innovation and Digital Transformation and the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce were discussed. The meeting highlighted the chamber’s role as a key platform for developing economic relations between Bulgaria and Germany.
The two sides expressed readiness to continue the dialogue and discuss future steps to support businesses, promote innovation and contribute to the long-term development of the Bulgarian economy.
The meeting noted that the Ministry of Innovation and Digital Transformation, a co-organizer of the HEMUS 2026 International Exhibition for Defense Equipment, Defense, and Security, will give Bulgarian startups the opportunity to present their innovative solutions and developments to leading Bulgarian and international defense companies and investment funds. The Startup Networking event will be held on 03.06.2026 at 15:00. German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce President Horst Stüer invited Vasilev to visit the German Pavilion at the exhibition.
