The Minister of Innovation and Growth Milena Stoycheva and the Ambassador of India to Bulgaria H.E. Sanjay Rana held a work meeting at the Ministry of Innovation and Growth. The two discussed deepening the bilateral economic relations between Bulgaria and India in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship.

“Extremely important for the development of innovation, the business environment and the economy is the promotion of entrepreneurial thinking. I believe that entrepreneurs should be supported so that they can use their potential to implement successful projects,” Minister Stoycheva said.

The Ambassador of India stated that innovation is the future of cooperation between the two countries. He also said that he has a meeting with the Institute for Computer Sciences, Artificial Intelligence and Technologies (INSAIT) and the Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises.

Minister Stoycheva and H.E. Sanjay Rana discussed education and research activity as key factors for the development of innovations and interaction between universities from India and Bulgaria in the field of new technologies and innovations.

The Ambassador of India stated that the IT sector in our country is very well developed and five of the largest Indian companies have offices in Bulgaria and are successfully developing their activities here. For her part, Minister Stoycheva introduced him to the priorities of the Ministry of Innovation and Growth. Among them, she pointed out the attraction of high-tech investments and the development of research and development activities in the sectors of information and communication technologies, mechatronics and microelectronics, industry for a healthy life, bioeconomy and biotechnology, circular and low-carbon economy.
